October 2024 Update
More migrations of content to the website www.thedarkelf007.com. The website is now 2 year old, and growing in complexity.
News for October
Here is what I built last month into the new site: Note lists are working builds, meaning that more information will be added over time and the menu’s will evolve to show the available content.
Mystara Section (Advanced DnD called Level Up)
This section of the site has had many upgrades, now characters are starting to get better as I have migrated the items for most of Friday and Tuesday, with the Wednesday discovered items and shared items still to go. Once that is complete, more of the site will be rebuilt with the standard scripting model I have put together to simplify the maintenance,
Pathfinder Section (Pathfidner 2 Enhanced)
Most of the pathfinder section should be now working as planned.
Shadowrun (Genesys)
Characters have been getting a behind the scene update to make it work smoother. Many of the objects that built it were uniquely doing the same thing so have been brought in line with the rest of the site so it should work the same for characteristics, skills and abilities.
Star Wars Section (Genesys)
Characters have been getting a behind the scene update to make it work smoother. Many of the objects that built it were uniquely doing the same thing so have been brought in line with the rest of the site so it should work the same for characteristics, skills and abilities.
The location section of the site is going through an overhaul to bring it in line with the curent object model making it far more extensible than I had originally catered to. Also all segments of the galaxy should have a placeholder and I will be working towards making all the known worlds visible through the site, if not all detailed.
Reference – Genesys Section
The vehicles and starships of the genesys system have had a major overhaul and now works the same as most of the rest of the site. This should make extending it far simplier than I had originally made it to work.
Game Sessions
Updated to start of October 2024, With extra links to content in the site. Most content is now becoming scripted and linked to characters and sessions. Pages for displaying the content are in progress.
Site Updates
I have removed a majority of the script file calls, learning how to reduce it to a single call to access all the required content to build the site. Though it has also slowed down the load time which will be something to keep in mind on how to speed this up in the future.
