The Gambler

This specialisation can be found as part of the following careers: Smuggler. This is also used in my Shadowrun Conversion.

Talent Tree – Gambler

Completing each tier earns the title for the character.

• Tier 1 (Does not require another talent to purchase)

• Tier 2 (Requires a link back to a Tier 1 talent)

• Tier 3 (Requires a link back to a Tier 1 talent)

• Tier 4 (Requires a link back to a Tier 1 talent)

• Tier 5 (Requires a link back to a Tier 1 talent)

P – Passive Talent / A – Active Talent / R – Ranked Talent (connections)

Upon Completing the Specialisation Tree – gain the Dedication talent.

• SW Career Skills – Computer (Int), Cool (Pr) Deception (Cun), Skulduggery (Cun)
• SR Career Skills – Computer – Hacking (Int), Cool (Pr) Deception (Cun), Skulduggery (Cun)
• Starting Character gains one rank in two career skills of their choice.
• These skills become additional Career skills.
• Level 1 Talents – Convincing Demeanour (PR), Grit (PR), Toughened (PR), Up the Ante (PR)
• Level 2 Talents – Grit (PR), Second Chances (AR), Smooth Talker (AR), Up the Ante (PR)
• Level 3 Talents – Convincing Demeanour (PR), Double or Nothing (A), Fortune Favours the Bold (A), Second Chances (AR)
• Level 4 Talents – Clever Solution (A), Double or Nothing – Improved (P), Second Chances (A), Up the Ante (PR)
• Level 5 Talents – Double or Nothing – Supreme (P), Natural Negotiator (A), Natural Rogue (A), Up the Ante (PR)

House Rule Changes

Made Dedication the reward for completing a Specialisation Tree instead of a Tier 5 Item. Replaced Dedication with a 5th Up the Ante in fitting with the Gambler.

As I have changed how the abilities are bought, by buying all of one tier before the next, I have had to shuffle these around a little to fit them where they need to be. Natural Rogue (Tier 3) swapped to Tier 5. Double or Nothing (Tier 5) moved to Tier 3. Improved Double or Nothing (Tier 5) moved to Tier 4, Supreme Double or Nothing (Tier 2) moved to Tier 5. @nd Up the Ante (Tier 4) moved to Tier 2. Smooth Talker (Tier 5) moved to Tier 2.
