- Standard: Dragon scale mail is made of the scales of one kind of dragon. Sometimes dragons collect their cast-off scales and gift them to humanoids. Other times, hunters are fully skin and preserve the hide of a dead dragon. In either case, dragon scale mail is highly valued.
- While wearing this armour, you have advantage on saving throws against the Frightful Presence and breath weapons of dragons.
- Attunement: While wearing this armor, you gain a +2 bonus to AC, and you have resistance to one damage type that is determined by the kind of dragon that provided the scales.
- Sapphire Dragon Scales provides resistance to cold and force.
- Additionally, you can focus your senses as an action to magically discern the distance and direction to the closest dragon within 30 miles of you that is of the same type as the armour. This special action can’t be used again until the next dawn.
- While attuned to this item, you can also be attuned to four other dragonkind items using the same attunement slot.
- A dragonologist attuned to a sapphire dragon takes 1 less soul burn when using Dragonologist effects for a blue, bronze or sapphire dragon.
- A waterologist takes 1 less soul burn for craft effects and can manifest both waterology and dragonology at the same time.
- Relic: A dragonkin of a type other than blue gains access to cold and force damage with their energy attack types. A blue dragonkind gains immunity to cold and force damage and their cold and force attacks deal two additional dice of damage.

DRAGON SCALE MAIL

Dragon scale mail is made of the scales of one kind of dragon. Sometimes dragons collect their cast-off scales and gift them to humanoids. Other times, hunters arefully skin and preserve the hide of a dead dragon. In either case, dragon scale mail is highly valued.
