SW Specialisation Survivalist

Star Wars – Career Specialisations of the Galaxy

The Survivalist

This specialisation can be found as part of the following careers: Bounty Hunter (ee-cr)

Beyond civilisation, in the furthest reaches of the galaxy, there are places where few (if any) sentients have ever trodden the ground. Places like these are ideal hiding places for those fleeing the law or retribution for their actions. Places like these are where Bounty Hunters who specialise as Survivalists thrive.

Harkening back to the ancient practices of true wilderness hunters, the survivalist gains related skills. With their talent array, they can keep themselves and their companions alive, and they know where and what to look for when searching for just about anything or anyone. They are also gifted at hunting any kind of target.

Not everything that happens in the galaxy occurs in cities or out in space. In fact, most of the habitable places of the galaxy are rural or wilderness in nature. A specialisation in Survivalist ensures a character has the necessary knowledge and training to make their way in such environments, and help the far more urban-minded folks they are likely travelling with.

Despite the capacity to live off the land, Survivalists enjoy credits and the things that can be purchased with them just like anyone else. They will often look to hire themselves out to customers who need their expertise in seeking out (or hunting) something beyond the duracrete and tapcafs.

Talent Tree – Survivalist

Completing each tier earns the title for the character.

  • Survivalist Tier 1 (Does not require another talent to purchase)
  • Survivalist Tier 2 (Requires a link back to a Tier 1 talent)
  • Survivalist Tier 4 (Requires a link back to a Tier 1 talent)
  • Survivalist Tier 5 (Requires a link back to a Tier 1 talent)

P – Passive Talent / A – Active Talent / R – Ranked Talent (connections)

Upon Completing the Specialisation Tree – gain the Dedication talent.

House Rule Changes

Made Dedication the reward for completing a Specialisation Tree instead of a Tier 5 Item. Replaced Dedication with a 5th Tier Expert Tracker in fitting with the Survivalist. I then swapped the New Expert Tracker with Soft Spot keeping Soft Spot as a Tier 5 talent.

I am a long term gamer, I run 6 RPG's a fortnight, host board game, card game and LANs each about once a quarter and have an addiction to buying more games. Games I am currently running are Pathfinder (1st and 2nd Edition) and Dungeons and Dragons (5th Edition).
