Also known as Deep Gnomes.

Gnomes are between halflings and dwarves in height and honour Garl Glitterlode. They are known to have a deep connection with technology.

These gnomes interact with the Shadowlands and are otherwise unknown to the world. They are linked to the sphere of Entropy. Their skin is dark and seems to draw in the light, their hair black and no reflective, their eyes are completely black.

  • Attributes – Gnomish Traits
    • Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 2.
    • Age. A gnome reaches young adulthood at 25 ending childhood and starting training and becoming a full adult at the age of 40 and generally lives into his or her fifth century
    • Size. Gnomes average about 3 feet tall and weigh about 40 pounds. Your size is Small.
    • Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
    • Darkvision: Accustomed to life underground, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. Vou can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. Vou can’t discern colour in darkness, only shades of grey.
    • Gnome Cunning: You have advantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic.
    • Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common (Thyatian or Alphatian) and Gnomish.
    • Pantheon: Dwarven and Gnome
    • Weapons Proficiency: Gains proficiency with two weapons of significance of your choice. If you have proficiency with these weapons, they are upgrades skilled level.

Shadowkin Heritage

  • Height – men 3 ft and women 2’8″.
  • Complexion
  • Colouration
  • Known Locations – Broken Lands, Shadowlands
  • Traits – based on the Deep gnome and meets any requirements requiring that race.

Shadowkin Traits

  • Ability Score Increase: Dexterity +1.
  • Superior Darkvision: Your darkvision radius is 120 ft
  • Stone Camouflage: You have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks to hide in rocky terrain and underground.
  • Extra Language: You also know Undercommon (Shadowtongue).
  • Secret Crafts: (Starting) Your choice of starting secret crafts include: Darkologist.
  • Deep: Count as a Deep Gnome.
  • Evolution (1st Evolution): Counts as the Gnome and Genasi races for the purposes of effects and magical items. As a 2nd evolution, there is a 25% chance for any offspring to be a Genasi.

Most shadowkin Gnomes have the Darkness Aspected Traits, to select other elemental traits please gain the game masters permission.

  • Attributes – Darkness Aspected Traits
    • Ability Score Increase: Charisma +2
    • Touch of the Darkness: While taking a short rest in an enclosed space without light, you can spend 1 HD to roll two dice and take the results of both.
    • Power of Entropy: When using (or effected by) Necrotic or Psychic you add your proficiency bonus to the damage (or reduce damage taken) and cause your eyes to turn completely black till the start of your next turn
    • Danger of the Competing Elements: When hit by both Energy (fire or radiant) and Time (cold or force), or both Matter (acid or poison) and Thought (lighting or thunder) damage types in the same round you are considered to have weakness to the second energy type. If you are hit by both energy types of Energy, Matter, Thought or Time in the same round you take additional damage equal to your proficiency. If you use an energy type against those with the same aspect, you have your attack, damage and saving throw reduced by your proficiency instead of increased by it.
    • Dark Evolution: Counts as a Genasi for the purposes of using Darkness Genasi effects and magical items, but not as a Darkness Genasi. With every offspring there is a d20 roll to determine their elemental aspect:
      • 80% chance of an Darkness Aspected child (1 to 16)
      • 5% chance of an one of the other elements aspects. Air (17), Earth (18), Fire (19), Water (20)

I am a long term gamer, I run 6 RPG's a fortnight, host board game, card game and LANs each about once a quarter and have an addiction to buying more games. Games I am currently running are Pathfinder (1st and 2nd Edition) and Dungeons and Dragons (5th Edition).
