  • Magical Item – Uncommon – Eversmoking Bottle – 400 gp
    • Standard: Smoke leaks from the lead-stoppered mouth of this brass bottle, which weighs 1 pound. When you use an action to remove the stopper, a cloud of thick smoke pours out in a 60-foot radius from the bottle. The cloud’s area is heavily obscured. Each minute the bottle remains open and within the cloud, the radius increases by 10 feet until it reaches its maximum radius of 120 feet.
    • The cloud persists if the bottle is open. Closing the bottle requires you to speak its command word as an action. Once the bottle is closed, the cloud disperses after 10 minutes. A moderate wind (11 to 20 miles per hour) can also disperse the smoke after 1 minute, and a strong wind (21 or more miles per hour) can do so after 1 round.
    • Attunement: While attuned to this item, you can extend the radius out to 150 feet.
    • Relic: If used by a genasi you can see through the smoke. If attuned by a fire Genasi you can use your racial ability an additional time per long rest. This stacks with other items that may increase this daily use.

Example Campaign Items – Eversmoking Bottle

Brass Bottle of Pain (F0012)
  • Magical Item – Uncommon – Brass Bottle of Pain – 400 gp
    • While using the item you are in extreme pain, breaking concentration and forcing you to yell at high volume. While it is painful it does not actually cause harm, and no magic removed this effect.
    • Attunement: While attuned to this item, you can extend the radius out to 150 feet.
    • Relic: If used by a genasi you can see through the smoke. If attuned by a fire Genasi you can use your racial ability an additional time per long rest. This stacks with other items that may increase this daily use.
    • Built From: Created by Fire Elementals, Quirk of Painful.
    • Owners:
      • 1000-02-16 – Gef (Mad Dwarf Monk) Found in tomb of moving stones, Northern Reaches

Design Notes

Due to changes with the setting, I have move all potion style items to the potions section so it now includes non-expendable items as well in that category.

EVERSMOKING BOTTLE

Wondrous item, uncommon

Each minute the bottle remains open and within the cloud, the radius increases by 10 feet until it reaches its maximum radius of 120 feet.

The cloud persists as long as the bottle is open.

I am a long term gamer, I run 6 RPG's a fortnight, host board game, card game and LANs each about once a quarter and have an addiction to buying more games. Games I am currently running are Pathfinder (1st and 2nd Edition) and Dungeons and Dragons (5th Edition).
