Adventures AC 1011 – Relic Hunter – Golden Bridle
The Golden Bridle
Source: The Emirates of Ylaruam (gaz2)
This adventure was originally part of the Basic Adventures section of Gazetteer 2 – The Emirates of Ylaruam which I modified and one of the changes to be investigated as part of the Wrath of the Immortals storyline.
This features in the following sections:
- Gazetteer – Ylaruam
- AC 1011 – Relic Hunter – Golden Bridle. A chance to find a magical treasure.
The Original Concept
This beautiful magical bridle, encrusted with gems and fine gold filigree, was crafted for Al-Kalim. A pegasus will faithfully serve whomever presents this bridle, so long as the owner is virtuous and honorable. If the owner performs an evil or dishonorable act, the pegasus will desert his former master, taking the bridle with him.
Staging: Seek this bridle in the Temple of the Moon, a splendid palace in the cloud-worlds where pegasi and other fabulous creatures of the air abound. Legends say that the worthy hero must sail by moonbeams to the temple, and that only the Old Man in the Sea knows how such a marvelous ascent might be made.
- Adventure Level: 11-25, Expert (converts to 11 to 15)
- Topic: Magical Treasure that is different every year.
- Interesting Features: A treasure that helps you gain a pegasus.
- Campaign Hook: A chance to delve into the history of the hero.
Note: See Ylaruam Adventures relating to Relic Hunter details. I intend for this item to be linked to other locations and adventures at various level, so gaining the item is not the end of the storyline. The item will also have other abilities once it enters play.
Not run as part of the campaign.
Can be run anywhere in the third five years of the campaign from year Eleven to Year Fifteen, and can be adapted to run at other levels as an ongoing adventure option.
More to be written about the outcome.
