The Byss Run was a hyperspace route located in the Deep Core. The Empress Teta system was situated along the route. One of the earliest species to inhabit the area left behind colorful frescoes whose designs inspired the paintings on the Bakurat cards.

It was so perilous and changing that it was only kept open and stable with hundreds of non-mass S-thread boosters planted within hyperspace at a high cost.

This is a highly unstable and dangerous hyperspace route from Empress Teta to Byss, via Prakith. The Empire maintains navigational aids to keep the secret route viable. Much of the Byss Run was used by General Grievous to attack Coruscant, using an unstable path starting beyond the Byss Run at Abregado-rae in the Core Worlds. This is rumoured to exist only.
