AC 1005 – Mystery in Sundsvall – The Concept

Set in Summer (Months 6 to 8) in AC 1004. I have moved the event to AC 1005 to make it part of Phase Two of the storyline.

A group of Glantrian heroes travels to Sundsvall, the capital of Alphatia, with another letter from Prince Etienne d’Ambreville to the Empress Eriadna. This is a follow-up to the letter wherein the Glantrians claimed not to know who murdered Troikithus, the Alphatian spy in Glantri City. In this new letter, Prince Etienne provides the Empress with more information proving that Troikithus was an Alphatian spy, his intent to further embarrass and inconvenience Eriadna.

While waiting for their audience with the Empress, these heroes meet General Torenal, who is the leader of the Alphatian Empress’s elite guard and the father of some of Eriadna’s children. When last seen, the Glantrians and Torenal are chatting amicably in a waiting chamber near Eriadna’s throne room. What happens afterwards is in dispute.

AC 1005 – Mystery in Sundsvall – The Reveal

AC 1005 – This is in response to The Proclamation (see Mystery of the Proclamation) the Headmaster of the school of magic sent a delegation with a response to the Empress and her court. After delivering the response they met with the Beloved General Torenal, who was working on keeping the Peace between Alphatian and Glantri. During this meeting he was assassinated, with the delegates captured as his assassins.

AC 1005 – Mystery in Sundsvall – The Outcome

The outcome of this event lead to the Mystery of the Dual Memories.
