AC 1005 – Mystery of the Dead Elf – Overview

Wrath of the Immorals – Event E03

This is one of the events that happen in the campaign that character can be part of. This is Event E03. E03 refers to the Third Event in the Wrath of the Immortals campaign intended to be set in AC 1004.

AC 1005 – Mystery of the Dead Elf – Timeline

    • Mystery of the Dead Elf – A elven student Troikithus gain access to the records of the library of Alfheim relating to the clan of Ellerovyn.

    • School Assignment – Vampires. While on assignment from the Great School of Magic your tasked with helping a noble move within Boldavia, dealing with a vampire threat.

    • School Assignment – Beggars Court. While on assignment from the Great School of Magic your tasked with finding a nobles son and an artefact he stole lost in Beggars Court.

      • (PC4) Bringing in the Herd – The herd animals in the region are in low supply, so more needs to be obtained to keep the populace safe on the nights of a full moon.

AC 1005 – Mystery of the Dead Elf – The Concept

Set in Spring (Months 3 to 5) in AC 1004. I have moved the event to AC 1005 to make it part of Phase Two of the storyline.

Decades ago, an Alphatian elf named Troikithus, loyal to Empress Eriadna, travelled to Glantri as her spy. Pretending to be an elf from the Grand Duchy of Karameikos, he ingratiated himself with the elven Clan of Ellerovyn and established his identity as a vigorous, intelligent student of magic.

Recently, he uncovered evidence of a secret order of magicians studying a previously-unknown type of magic (the Radiance). He also heard rumours that there were followers of Entropy among the rulers of Glantri. He sent back a report to his Empress describing what little he knew and promising to find out more. A week later, Troikithus’s drowned body is found in a canal of Glantri City.

AC 1005 – Mystery of the Dead Elf – The Reveal

AC 1001 – The Empress assigns the spy to infiltrate the great school of magic in glantri, by obtaining clan records for the clan of elves who migrated from Alfheim and still have some records in that nation. The spy is able to recover enough records to create an identity of a clan member to assist in his entry into Glantri.

AC 1002 – The elven spy manages to gain admission into the clan of forest elves with the help of material obtained in Alfheim. Then using the clan’s assistance he starts to work on gaining patronage to study at the great school of magic.

AC 1003 – After becoming a valued member of the Elven clan, the spy manages to get accepted into the Great School of Magic to continue is investigations.

AC 1004 – An elven student is investigating the reports of Secret Crafts, Meetings and the national Religion of Glantri.

AC 1005 – A group of investigators operating under Rheddrian’s Investigation Bureau are dispatched to look into the issue as an independent party as arranged by the Headmaster from the School of Magic. They discover some books that a student should not have had access to and most likely lead to the murder of the elven student by one of the princes of glantri and were able to smuggle them out of the country.

AC 1005 – Mystery of the Dead Elf – The Outcome

The princes of Glantri do some research into the background of the popular murdered elf and discover that he was an Alphatian with an assumed identity – in short, a spy. Alphatia responds by denying that he was a spy, saying that he took the identity because of Glantri’s long standing disdain for Alphatians. Empress Eriadna protests his obvious murder, but with no evidence on either side neither Alphatia nor Glantri is willing to press the matter.

I am a long term gamer, I run 6 RPG's a fortnight, host board game, card game and LANs each about once a quarter and have an addiction to buying more games. Games I am currently running are Pathfinder (1st and 2nd Edition) and Dungeons and Dragons (5th Edition).
