Rheddrian’s Investigation Bureau – The Concept
Characters have met Rheddrian and signed on to be part of his Investigation Bureau to try and track down missing technology from his starship that may destroy the world. What and who is behind the stolen technology remains to be discovered, but finding knowledge in the past, present and future are all part of their phase of the storyline as the dangers in the region start to compound.
Their Charter:

- Investigate changes in cultural policy
- Investigate new religions
Their Reward: 1,000 gp each per Mystery solved to Rheddrian’s satisfaction paid in advance using gnomish banking mechanical cards that allows you to withdraw this from any capital city that has a branch. Mysteries solved in Phase one also count.
Incorporating aspects from Storm King’s Thunder, Chapter 3 – The Savage Frontier from the Inner Circles where Rheddrian is creating an expanding a series of manned Teleportation Ciircles.
Rheddrian’s Investigation Bureau – The Reveal
Rheddrian talks about his background, his people, and what is happening in the world that can lead to the loss of magic, and the death of all the creatures that rely on it to exist.
Each group working with him is given a copy of Rheddrian’s Staff, and artefact tied to the Immortal Benekander and allowing communication with Rheddrian.

Rheddrian’s Investigation Bureau – The Outcome
Of the three groups that went through this session, two came out wanting to work with Rheddrian, and one wanted to sell him out from the start. That last group was the first there and they unfortunately were only interesting in killing things as if it were a computer game. Characters have to be reminded of who and why they are adventuring most sessions so they know what they are expected to be doing each session.
As time progresses, the party will be able to make use of the following transportation hubs all called Knight’s Rivett Inn springing up in those specific cities in these dates.

Concluding Thoughts
You really need a group who wants to roleplay to do this storyline. After witnessing a murder-hobo group absolutely tanks because they thought they were “roleplaying” wanting to kill everything in sight. Once I had players who wanted to roleplay character interactions the story became more enjoyable.
