Galaxy Region – The Expansion Region

The Expansion Region is one of the galaxy’s primary regions for manufacturing and heavy industry. The region underwent extreme corporate development and extensive mining over the centuries. With a significant percentage of the mines played out, the region has suffered economically for the past few centuries. The Expansion Region has an irregular shape, with a very thin band in the northern reaches of the region and a wider bulge in the eastern and southeastern areas. The population density of the region is far less than the Core Worlds, or even the Inner Rim.

While the Inner Rim was still developing, explorers and corporate opportunists surged into the Expanded Rim. A boom was well under way before it was officially opened for colonization. They quickly established major mining colonies and industrial complexes on the worlds they seized. The operations were so disruptive they distorted the shape of the Inner Rim region, producing its northeastern bulge.

Alchenaut Sector

The Alchenaut sector was a sector located within the Expansion Region of the galaxy. It included the Alchenaut system, as well as the moon Alchenaut.

Bes Ber Bikade Sector

The Bes Ber Bikade sector, also known as the Three-Besh sector, was a sector in the Expansion Region. It contained the planets Borkyne, Dura-Kahn, Epica, KyLessia, Roona and Troxar. The sector was located in the southern portion of the region and bordered the Andirma sector, the Arc d’Stot sector, the Rocantor sector, the Hakartha sector, the Vulcusion sector, and the Tregillis sector.

Bes Ber Bikade Sector Locations:

• Kinyen System, Kinyen – L15 – 12.1 15.9

Deadalis Sector

The Deadalis sector was a sector located within the Expansion Region. It contained the planet Dorin and the Coth Fuuras space station.

Ehosiq Sector

The Ehosiq sector was a sector in the Expansion Region. The Benelex Bounty Hunters Guild was active in this sector.

Espi Collective

The Epsi Collective was a sector located within the Expansion Region. It contained the moon Asturias and the planets Epsi Nadir, Old Barag and Vandelhelm.

Fellwe Sector

The Epsi Collective was a sector located within the Expansion Region. It contained the moon Asturias and the planets Epsi Nadir, Old Barag and Vandelhelm.

• Yinchorri System, Yinchorr – L8 – 12.3 8.2

Freestanding Subsectors

The freestanding subsectors was a term to designate the independent sectors that were not part of the galactic government.

Greater Plooriod Sector

The Greater Plooriod sector was in the Expansion Region and contained the Greater Plooriod Cluster. Planets in the sector included Leafar and Corsin. It was the location of Imperial Drydock IV.

Lostar Sector

Lostar sector was a sector in the Expansion Region. The Benelex Bounty Hunters Guild was active in this sector.

Pamabe Sector

The Parnabe sector was a sector in the Expansion Region. It contained the planet Qat Chrystac.

Piryn Shar Sector

The Piryn Shar sector was a sector located within the Expansion Region region of the galaxy. Its Coreward boundary bordered the Vatha sector, and, moving clockwise, it also bordered the Vensensor, Sombure, and Oriolan sectors and the Har Worlds. One major hyperspace route, the Great Gran Run, passed through the sector. The area within the sector was within space that was considered well-explored by 25 BBY, and it was within space controlled by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. In 4 ABY, Nagai raiders and Tof forces passed through the sector, moving down the Great Gran Run toward Endor. In 25 ABY the average population of a star system in the sector ranged from less than one million to as much as 500 million. It contained the Noe’ha’on system, which contained Noe’ha’on, the jungle homeworld of the sentient Noehon species. It also contained the Natalon and Ohratuu systems.

The Woostri sector was a sector in the Expansion Region. It contained the planets Daemen and Woostri.
