• Magical Item – Uncommon – Sending Stones – 400 gp
  • Standard: Sending stones come in pairs, with each smooth stone carved to match the other so the pairing is easily recognised. While you touch one stone, you can use an action to cast the sending spell from it. The target is the bearer of the other stone. If no creature bears the other stone, you know that fact as soon as you use the stone and don’t cast the spell. Once sending is cast through the stones, they can’t be used again until the next dawn. If one of the stones in a pair is destroyed, the other one becomes non-magical.
  • Attunement: You know the direction of the other stone.
  • Relic: If you are a genasi, you can refresh the stone after a long rest as well as at dawn, if you are an earth genasi you can instead refresh after a sort rest.

  • Standard: While holding one of these stones you have resistance to cold damage. Sending stones come in pairs, with each smooth stone carved to match the other so the pairing is easily recognised. While you touch one stone, you can use an action to cast the sending spell from it. The target is the bearer of the other stone. If no creature bears the other stone, you know that fact as soon as you use the stone and don’t cast the spell. Once sending is cast through the stones, they can’t be used again until the next dawn. If one of the stones in a pair is destroyed, the other one becomes non-magical.
  • Attunement: You know the direction of the other stone.

Mannar Rune Stones (W031)

• Magical Item – Legendary – Mannar Rune Stones – 100,000 gp
  • Standard: This is a pair of rocks that share the same rune, one the reverse of the other. Sending stones come in pairs, with each smooth stone carved to match the other so the pairing is easily recognised. While you touch one stone, you can use an action to cast the sending spell from it. The target is the bearer of the other stone. If no creature bears the other stone, you know that fact as soon as you use the stone and don’t cast the spell. Once sending is cast through the stones, they can’t be used again until the next dawn. If one of the stones in a pair is destroyed, the other one becomes non-magical.
  • Attunement: You know the direction of the other stone. You get a +1 bonus on saving throws against petrification and effects that alter your form such as lycanthropy, polymorph, or flesh to stone.
  • Relic: If you are a genasi, you can refresh the stone after a long rest as well as at dawn, if you are an earth genasi you can instead refresh after a sort rest.
