As part of my conversion process of bringing the Jade Regent over to second edition is to convert the special items from each book.

Trail Map of the Region – Item 3+

(Magical, Divination)

This vellum map depicts a specific location, and delineates a path across it. Studying the map provides a +1 competence bonus on Survival checks to avoid getting lost and to avoid hazards in the region.

Type Lesser Trail Map of the Region Level 3 Price 60 gp

Type Trail Map of the Region Level 9 Price 700 gp
Increase the Survival check to +2 , as well as an advantage bonus on caravan Security checks while in the region (with the exception of checks made to avoid the effects of altitude, extreme cold or heat, or severe weather).

Type Greater Trail Map of the Region Level 17 Price 15,000 gp
Increase the Survival check to +3, as well as an advantage bonus on caravan Security checks while in the region (including checks made to avoid the effects of altitude, extreme cold or heat, or severe weather).

• Total Price 700 gp and the item is level 9

This gave me the idea to create a bunch of magical maps that help with survival checks with a lesser (+1) base (+2) and greater (+3) variants on the maps. This was originally Map of the High Ice for the Crown of the World Region.
