Star Wars – Beta Rules Adv

Lost Knowledge

Adventure Information

This was run by me over 1 session on the 13th January 2017.

Rumours of a hidden force temple surfaces and the characters must rush to beat the empire to its riches. The highlights of the adventure were blatant stealing of gear from the resort, talking with the crazy old man and agreeing with him, and an ability to defeat a foe without attacking it.

Characters are asked to look into rumours on this world by a trusted friend.

Episodes of the adventure:

  • Introduction (2 pages)
  • Arrival at the Resort (4.5 pages)
  • The Hunting Expedition (1.5 pages)
  • The Ancient Ruins (6 pages) – interesting mechanic for dealing with a force ghost

Athiss Content

Set on Athiss, you get to meet the following characters in the adventure (Rival unless specified):

  • Hotel Security (minion)
  • Deranged Expedition Guide
  • Expedition Hunter (minion)
  • Twisted Beast
  • Twisted Beast Alpha

New Equipment

Equipment introduced in the adventure:

  • Athiss Cave Crystal (Lightsaber crystal)

New Vehicles

Vehicles introduced in the adventure:

  • Passenger Landspeeder

Concluding Thoughts

This adventure introduces some interesting mechanics relating to the Dark Side of the Force. The force ghost encounter showcases how you can have combat without using weapons, and I thought it was a brilliant encounter.

This would fit into any group wanting to research into the force, ancient cultures or even the Sith Empire. Each of these would give a good launching point into the storyline.

This would also work with Jedi wanting to find a master, or teachings to help them survive in the Empire era.

I am a long term gamer, I run 6 RPG's a fortnight, host board game, card game and LANs each about once a quarter and have an addiction to buying more games. Games I am currently running are Pathfinder (1st and 2nd Edition) and Dungeons and Dragons (5th Edition).
