Running the Adventure

3 sessions 30th November 2018 to 11th January 2019

So we start the final adventure for this group, the concept of this story is that there is a object of significance on sale which has caught the interest of the forces wielders of the party.

Doings some research they track down the buyer. only to find that he has been kidnapped and the artefact has been taken. Not wanting to loose out on this possible connection to the Jedi, they player characters use their underworld connections to learn that the seller had been taken to an estate on the outskirts of town.

Tacking down this estate, they infiltrate it, and manage to rescue the seller, and retrieve the artefact while facing down an Imperial Inquisitor also trying to walk off with the artefact. It was a close battle, but they forced the Inquisitor to flee before having to exit the estate themselves having participated in a rather noisy battle.

Examining the artefact they discover that it does indeed have a connection to the force and is a broken piece, leading them to wonder where it came from and if there is more to the artefact. They have visions of the past, present and future in relation to the Artefact. Questioning the seller, they follow the source of the artefact to the previous owner and save him from himself before engaging imperial intelligence with lightsabers and force powers before fleeing the planet. They learn the artefact came from a world not well known.

Arriving in system and landing at the coordinates of where the artefact was recovered from they explore an abandoned city, only to discover that it was a starship refinery the size of a star destroyer. Making their way to the base of it at least a kilometre underground they fight with the Inquisitor and her minions before destroying the artefact and bringing the refinery down around them as the closing scene of the game. They had successfully stopped the artefact from falling into the wrong hands, even if it was at the cost of their characters.

Concluding Thoughts

Toydaria is a nice spot to reuse, with a lot of information about various people and organisations mixed into it, can fit into an intrigue storyline quite easily.

Dathomir not so much, its more of an visit only at great need sort of thing.

The new force powers and items that enhance the force are better left till late to end game, and in the end was part of why the campaign ended with this published adventure. Be aware that it can shift the balance of the game.

I am a long term gamer, I run 6 RPG's a fortnight, host board game, card game and LANs each about once a quarter and have an addiction to buying more games. Games I am currently running are Pathfinder (1st and 2nd Edition) and Dungeons and Dragons (5th Edition).
