Star Wars – Adventures
Core Rules Edge of the Empire
Running the Game
1 session 10th February 2017
In this adventure you get to do some bounty hunting, though it was amusing to note that a possible ship they can acquire does not have any stats in this book. A minor oversight I am sure.
Highlights of the adventure were the continuing romance between the diplomat and every imperial officer who crosses her path. There was interesting discussions with the non stated NPC’s being far more interesting than those that did have stats. And it culminated with the bounty hunter of the group going guns blazing and killing another bounty hunter already on the hunt. So has repercussions to be felt down the line if he was to try and claim the bounty.
Episodes of the adventure:
- Introduction (6.5 pages)
- Becoming Embroiled (15.5 pages) – not really episodic in this story, could split some area’s up but really needed defined breaks, also no suggested XP awards either.
Set on Formos, you get to meet the following characters in the adventure (Rival unless specified):
- Mama Nobah (background only)
- Jok Nonah (background only)
- Vreebo Gango – Rodian wallflower (background only)
- J9-B8 (background only)
- Zukata (background only)
- Daro Blunt – Smuggling Gang Leader
- Spir Fraxis – Smuggler (minion)
- Gut-Guro – Weequay (minion)
- R4-W9 – Astromech Droid
Asteroid Pirate Base Content
Set on nearby asteroid field, you get to meet the following characters in the adventure (Rival unless specified):
- Sentry Droid
- Bandin Dobah – Crime Boss (nemesis)
- Mate – Slow-Witted Tough
- Godon Netakka – Rodian Bounty Hunter
Vehicles introduced in the adventure:
- Sentry Droid Starship Profile
- Z-TIE Profile
- “Vagrant” YV-666 Medium Freighter (background only)
This is a good example of a bounty hunter style mission, it shows a good progression on gathering information and tracking the target.
It also has a excellent example of an asteroid base that can be used by pirates, rebels, smugglers and other people wanting to stay out of sight of the authorities. This could even be set in a populated system fairly easily as long as the technology they are using to enter and exit the base is fairly stealthy.
Overall I think this is a good side trek adventure that could be assigned to gain favour with another faction, or as a way of recovering stolen goods or data, or even a kidnapping of an important person.
